Professional Genealogist

As a professional genealogist, my experience and duties have entailed researching family lineage information for clients, putting packages together for potential clients based on their needs and desires, finding documents that prove family lineage claims, creating family history reference material and books for clientele, and reading and transcribing older documents into modern readable and digital formats.

 

State Coordinator - Kentucky GenExchange

​1999-2005

 

As the Kentucky State Coordinator for the U.S. Genealogy Exchange and Surname Registry, my duties encluded database management for the state of Kentucky, recruiting volunteers for the 120 Kentucky County Coordinator positions, assisting the National Coordinator and the Assistant National Coordinator with organizational methods for my state, and genealogical data entry for the state of Kentucky.

As the county coordinator for Clark County, Kentucky, I was responsible for website creation and management, researching content for the website, adding information provided by other volunteers, and responding to all correspondence to the website, including forums and emails.
